It is the first full boarding school with Policy Support from the Government, Capital from Enterprises and Management from Experts. In Apirl 2010, Haidian Disctrict Government officially approved its name change from 21st Century Experimental School to 21st Century International School; in June 2011, it became the first international school in Haidian District and held an inauguration ceremony. The school cooperates with Beijing National Day School (BNDS) and US Fairmont Private School (FPS), share their quality educational and research resources and establishes advanced rules and regulations, administration procedures and performance assessment system. It takes the lead in non-govermental international education. The school is divided into Primary School Department, Junior High School Department, Senior High School Department and International Students Department. It is the first to advocate for bilingual education and complementation of Chinese and western curriculum strengths, and establishes primary school EP English Class, junior high IP, senior high AP, and integrated HSK program for international students.
